I am smiling all the time this evening. Last week I got a letter from a local music store informing me that they would be having a special 3-day piano sale of slightly used Yamaha pianos they had rented to Peabody Institute. If interested one should call for an appointment. I showed the letter to our pastor on Sunday because we had been talking for a couple of years about the possibility of switching to a digital. He told me to go ahead and make an appointment. The first appointments were for this evening, and when I called they said the only time slot still available was 5:00. Pastor Denny and I met there at 5:00. Half an hour later we had bought an amazing digital piano at an amazing 30% off the original price. It will be delivered Saturday morning. I have a Technics digital at home, a Roland digital at school, but this Yamaha is the best yet. It sounds like the grandest grand piano, or the richest pipe organ, or the most soul-stirring strings, or the jazziest sax, vibrato and all. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. I have a feeling I'll be spending more time at church in the weeks to come! And just like mine at school, I can record directly into it, as many as 16 tracks, or have it play songs I've arranged on my computer, only this one uses a zip drive instead of the outdated floppy disk. I know - I'm going on and on, but I'm just so excited. Pastor Dennis and I could hardly believe we got such an early appointment. Then the man said, "I think there was a cancellation." Wow, was that God, or what?

WOW and double WOW! I am so happy for you and the church! The music will have an awesome sound this Sunday!
I received that letter too, but I don't play a piano. Boo Hoo! I absolutely love piano music.
wow what a beautiful piano, wish I would have kept up my piano lessons when I was younger. But like most kids we do it for our parents sake and then in a while quit. I did the same with guitar played it for a while and then quit. So many regrets but thats how it goes.
That's so exciting! I am really happy for you. Enjoy! Barb
Congrats, Jean! I know you will enjoy using this! Good for you! Sounds like the Lord wanted you to have it, too.
