Our second day in Portland

Ok, here goes. We’ll see how long it takes me to blog about our second day in Portland.

On Friday morning I thought it was cute that Jeremy and Brennan  looked like twins.  Brennan goes to a summer camp each week day just like Hunter does.

I took a stroll outside to see the gardens as Jeremy watered them.  It’s VERY hot and dry here in Portland, and it’s hard to keep up with watering.

Looks like there will be loads of tomatoes ripening in a few weeks.

Even a comfy chair to relax on.

As I ate breakfast I was listening to Jeremy working from home. He would be having sinus surgery on Monday, and had many sales and things to arrange before his absence from work.  He is Sales and Creative Director at Moso Retail Environments.

I also had someone who tried to have some of my breakfast!

Jeremy said Lily loves blueberries, so I gave her the rest of mine.

Later Jeremy took me to the store to get the things I would need for making dinner.

Back at home I made meat loaf (always Tasha’s favorite), baked potatoes, brown butter broccoli, and apple crisp.

I can’t remember what Dick did that day, but I know he sat with Watson since I have a picture of it.

And when Mike came home from work, Watson sat with him. These dogs are people and comfort lovers!  Mike is director of a daycare and preschool.

Friends joined us for dinner.

Lots of fun playing and watching rounds of Blokus.

These girls were my game-mates. So much fun!

Then more friends came, and we sat on the back porch talking and laughing for a long time.  I so enjoy the community of fun and supportive friends they have here.

And that was our Friday.

They sure have a lovely home, perfect for entertaining friends and family! I would love a basket of those tomatoes. I'm waiting for your day 3!!
