Our first day in Portland

I started this post the first day we were here.  I HATE blogging on my phone, but here’s our first day.

We’re in Portland!  Last Wednesday we flew from Harrisburg to Atlanta and then to Portland  

When we landed in Portland it was 3:30 AM our time, but only 12:30 on the west coast. In order to avoid barking dogs waking a certain little boy, Jeremy had arranged for a hotel shuttle bus to pick us up. So we slept at the Sheraton. 

At 9:30 am Jeremy and Tasha came to pick us up. I was so happy to once again be in their beautiful home!

Their friend Tommy had been visiting from Florida. We hadn’t seen him since Jeremy and Mike’s wedding in 2016, so that was fun to catch up with him. 

Jeremy took us and Tommy to Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood for a late lunch!

A high school friend of our boys, Seth Gehman, works at Timberline Lodge, creating and maintaining trails. He was there that day and joined us at lunch for a while. How fun!

In the evening we watched Olympics on the back porch TV. Dick took this picture of me sitting beside Mark. He is a good friend of theirs who used to live in this area but has since moved to San Diego, CA. I feel so honored that he flies to Portland when we are here. He’s such a good friend.
