Here and there

Wow, three days already since I posted about our big weekend.  This was a super hot week, but I'm not complaining.  Today was perfect - lower temps, no humidity, no AC necessary.  And I could enjoy eating breakfast on my newly scrubbed porch furniture.  When I tried eating there on Tuesday morning it was way too hot, and I was afraid I had already missed the cool mornings.  But I'm sure we'll have some here and there.

I've been having fun following Lisa and George on their road trip via her FB postings.  Here they are with Ray and Thyda in Richmond on Monday.

They took in a Nationals vs Phillies baseball game on one of those hot evenings.  

Meanwhile I've been having my daily fun with Austin.  Yesterday I saw that the neighbors had put a hula hoop out with the trash.  So this morning on my walk I salvaged it for Austin.  As soon as I showed it to him today he said, "Target?"  Later I found out that last evening when he and Lori were at Target he desperately wanted a pink hula hoop they had there, and he talked about it all the way home.  She said, "I guess God heard the prayers of a two-year-old,"  Isn't that the sweetest thing?

Here's a video I took yesterday morning of Anthony and Austin building a "skyscraper" together.  Let me just say ahead of time that he stands on his "time out" chair to reach the top level.  If you think his time out chair looks kind of like a potty chair, that's because that was its original purpose, hahahaha!
