This morning as I drove to Anthony and Lori's house it was dreary and raining AGAIN. The sixth day in a row. I felt like posting on FB, "Rainy Day, chapter six."
But by this afternoon the rain and clouds had cleared away and I took the following picture, posted it on FB with this caption, "Did clear blue skies and green mountains ever look this good?"
Dick came home from work early (there were no jobs there to do anyway) and mowed our high grass and planted more of the plants he had dug up at Anthony and Lori's. Then he grilled chicken breasts and we ate on our side porch for the first time this season. As we ate we saw dark clouds start to gather over the mountains.
A while later Dick called me to check out the rainbow in the sky.
Before long there was rain coming down by the buckets. A neighbor boy went by with his scooter and a small umbrella!
Then it cleared up again, and we went to Lowes to buy some more Round Up. Just as we got home - you guessed it - another downpour, along with thunder and lightning. It just can't get finished!!!!!!
According to Accuweather, we're to get plenty of sunshine this weekend. I'll believe it when I see it!

Beautiful rainbow! It's been crazy like that here too. On the way to the airport to pick up Andy last night, it was raining so hard we almost pulled to the side. While we were there, the sun was shining, and when we drove home - another downpour!

It's Saturday and the sun IS shining! Yeah!!
Yesterday was crazy. I dressed the kids in what I thought was best for the day.....then on the way here the sun was sorta out and the car felt hot. Thought maybe I dressed them too warm.....but, no, it was cloudy and raining and felt cool again....was that way all day.
Have a great day! I would love to soak up some rays but we don't have any furniture on the deck yet!

Oh, we need some rain in the worst way! And, rainy days are my least favorite. But, even I am ready for some now. But, no thunder and lightning!

It was a beautiful day today. We sprayed the roses and fruit trees.
