Needing my fixes!

I went to church three times today.  How's that for sounding religious?  Haha!  We went to our regular 8:15 AM service at Fillmore UM and sang with the choir.  Dick had to leave before it was over to go to work, and I had to leave before it was over to go to Houserville UM to practice with their worship team.  I substituted for their pianist at their 10:30 service.  One of their songs was Shine, Jesus, Shine.  Boy, I hadn't led that one in years, and it's as awesome as it ever was!

I came home, made some yummy turkey burgers, and then sacked out on the sofa.  I slept for TWO HOURS!!!  I woke up feeling like a complete zombie.  I needed coffee after that.  Guess who's not going to be able to sleep when she goes to bed tonight?????

This evening we had a prayer and praise service at Fillmore, the first such service they have ever had.  I led the praise and worship (Dick played guitar with me), and our pastor led the prayer time.  It was a small group, but they are such strong, enthusiastic singers, it sounded like a lot more.  And the prayer time was intimate and beautiful, just what many of them needed.  Very much a family atmosphere, which is such a precious thing to me as I continue to struggle with missing so many people.

Next weekend we'll be going to get our "Lancaster County fix."  I got that term from Verna Clemmer, the person I sat with two weeks ago at the church I visited.  She and her husband moved to Lewistown from Lancaster County six years ago.  She said her homesickness for Lancaster County is much better than it used to be, but she still has to get her "Lancaster County fix" every now and then!

But speaking of fixes, I'm ready for my Austin fix tomorrow!  Lori sent me a little video today of Austin asking to go to Grandma's house.  Talk about melting a grandma's heart!!!  I'd show you the video, but I can't figure out how to convert it into something I can post here.  Just take my word for it, he made me homesick for him after just two days apart, haha!!

Glad the Sunday things all went well. Well, of course they would, wouldn't they? I am sure you are such an example to those younger members. Have a good time when you get to be with Austin!
