Good-bye, curls!

Lately Austin has been acting like his hair bothers him. Yes, those beautiful curls were bothering him! It's been getting more difficult to "do" his hair also, with some of it much longer than at other places. SO Lori and Anthony decided to do the unthinkable - cut off those curls!!!

And behold, he was a whole different kind of adorable when they were finished! He has such a cute face and nicely shaped head - he doesn't need hair to look cute. I couldn't stop laughing after they were finished, especially when he looked at himself in the mirror!
Of course, we know those curls will grow back before long, maybe a little more evenly and perhaps a bit thicker.

Hair!!! It makes such a difference, but it is true that when it is someone we love, the hair doesn't change anything!!! He is one squishable, adorable, handsome guy! (Austin, I mean!) Ah, Jean. Do you ever look back at a year ago, and think about how this last year has changed your life? When we are teenagers, we expect life to change dramatically in a year's time. But here we are, middle aged, and life has these unexpected twists and turns that feel so scary at first and turn into such blessings. I am truly so happy for you. I know that you still have things to pray about, to think about, to worry about (!) but there has been so much to rejoice in this last year, and when you think on those things, even the hard times look different. I hope things work out smoothly for the house, and that you see God's finger there, too. Love you!

Very cute--I'm excited to see what Adam and Austin think of each other in a few weekends.

He does look all boy now. He is ready to go surfing or splash in the pool, and it won't mess up his hair. So cute!

gasp!!!!!! This is the first I've seen of this!!!!!!! Did you save some for a locket??! Ya know what??? Cute little guy is rocking that sweet face with or without those gorgeous curls!!! In fact, I feel like I can see him better now, even thought I DO miss those curls!

My Boo Bear is JUST starting to get hair but it's getting wild so I know his mommy will probably be getting his hair cut in the not to distant future.

HOW did he do with the cut? Who cut it ? Did he sit still?

I know you are enjoying your summer with him!
