A day of weeding and now a tour

Anthony, Lori, and Austin traveled to Cleveland yesterday and will return tonight. Lori was doing a workshop at a conference today. So without a baby to care for, what was I going to do? I decided a few weeks ago that I would take this opportunity to work outside in the flower beds, the many, many flower beds. The weather could not have been more perfect for working outside. When I was finished (actually, there's much more to do, but it will have to wait for another day) I took some pictures. Now I want to take you on a tour.

Here's a view of the back yard taken from the driveway. Let's go down the steps.

These are the steps we just came down.

There is a pool in the back yard (not open this year) with landscaping all around the fence. That's where I spent most of my efforts today, attacking the wild things that would love to take over. Let's take a walk around the pool.

Oh, goody, I LOVE garden tours!
What huge gardens they have! How in this world can anyone keep them in control? You came at the right time. If and when those grasses mature, that stairway is going to be GORGEOUS!

I see a canopy on the deck. That really helps in using the deck on sunny days.

They certainly have beautiful gardens and they are fortunate that you like working in them.
It won't be long before Austin will be right out there with you.
