I don't think I've ever had this much solitude in my entire life. It has its pros and cons. Sometimes I feel like I just MUST have someone to talk to. And I hate the thunderstorms. But on the positive side - it's easier to be in tune with the Lord. And it surely doesn't take much housework or food when it's just me here.
My solitude for this week ended when I went to pick up Destiny for the weekend. I was ready for some noise around here! I took her to the rec center pool while I worked out, and this evening we were watching America's Funniest Home Videos, for lack of anything better on TV.
Tomorrow evening Dick will come home! He has Sunday off, so he'll be able to help me lead worship and then we can be together for our annual outing at Long's Park for the patriotic concert and fireworks display. He doesn't start work until 10 on Monday morning, so he'll drive up in the morning. We had no idea what his schedule would be, so we are absolutely delighted that he can be home for this special Sunday!

A little solitude is nice but it soon becomes too much! Enjoy your time with Dick!
I agree with Mari. Having some alone time is good...for awhile.
I'm having trouble staying on top of my blog reading lately. Is it just me? Between keeping the grandchildren, traveling, helping my friend Beth with her doctor's appts., gardening, etc., I'm staying too busy to blog read much. I hate that too.
Happy 4th sweet friend!
Hugs!
Kat
glad to hear you are doing well on your own!!! I know that I cannot sleep well when Bob is not with me so I know how you are feeling.
I saw your comment on my blog!! :-) PLEASE befriend me on facebook. You know my name, right? Margie Dautrich. I'll accept your request... I guess I could look you up if you have already made one?!
Anyway, when do you expect to move to State College? Hope you enjoy the 4th with your sweetheart! Glad he gets to come home for that!!!!
Take care!
Margie
Been thinking about you the last few days, knowing how much you mind being home alone. My dad, brothers, and Pete have been on a fish-and-float since early Thursday, and I am anticipating my husband's return just as you are yours!
I had to think, wow, how did my mom and you aunts stay sane when the guys were hunting for multiple days on end?! Guess my week has been alittle fuller than usual due to the potty training, but still!
Happy 4th! So glad you can keep your holiday fireworks tradition going.
