Back to discipline

Well, my Christmas break is over. We'll be taking Destiny home this evening and tomorrow it's back to school and back to DISCIPLINE over my lazy, self-indulgent body once again. In the two weeks before my Christmas program, with the thought of having that spotlight shining on my behind, I was successful in losing nine pounds by eating according to the Daniel diet. I felt so good. But then came the holidays, and you know what happened, right? The never-ending battle.

Another excellent post. Your blog is such a blessing in our family, and I know to many others who read it. I was blessed to be at Hernley's Church this morning to hear Beth & Steve share their plans and God's leading as you so well recorded it here. I had a delightful visit with them this afternoon at Dad & Mary's house. I too am touched by their testimony and the opportunities ahead of them.

I remember Josh telling me about his uncle in Texas. What an excellent post as Mary Ellen has said.

About the weight gain, I think that you have a lot of company. We could all use that diet about now.

How interesting! God always has a way, doesn't He? They will be blessed by the sacrifices they are willing to make. May God continue to open doors and smooth the path they are to travel.

I understand about the diet. UGH! Back to eating right tomorrow. I start back to school on Tuesday..."I don't wanna go.."

It has been one of the greatest joys of our marriage to be a part of the ministries of couples/families we know and love who sacrifice to go. I am impressed when I read about situations such as this.

Did you have to ruin a perfectly good post to talk about weight gain? Aw-w-w-w-w! Phooey mitt! I guess it IS time to go back to Weight Watchers for me. I know it isn't so popular with a lot of people, but it works for me (if I follow it!) So, I commiserate, and I will be a comrade in the fight against the foe. Love you!
