Miki called from Sweden last evening, wondering if I had made donuts on my "snow day." That had been a tradition begun by my mother that I had continued with my children - making homemade donuts when there's no school because of snow. I must say, the thought crossed my mind yesterday morning. But it didn't stay there long. For one thing, it's so much more fun to do it with children than alone. And for another thing, the last thing I need right now is the temptation of homemade donuts for days on end. So I did things yesterday that I can feel good about today, like cleaning and organizing. But I must say, this donut I made on my last snow day two years ago does look good enough to have with my coffee this morning!

Those donuts do look good!
Yummy! I think I could use one right now!
I was going to call you and tell you to skip making donuts! They are all together too good to have around. The picture will have to satisfy......
Yum...how'd you do that???
it does look delicious! My mom used to make some in Brazil when we were kids where she would deep fry some sort of dough and then put it in a brown paper bag with sugar and shake 'em up! Yummy!
So, are you gonna share the recipe???
