Today was my Christmas shopping day. I also met Dick for lunch at Panera Bread. He had been running some errands and we both ended up in the same area at the same time. I had a gift card for Panera Bread that our school had given me for my birthday. So I called Dick and said, "Hey, do want to meet me for lunch at Panera Bread?" How romantic is that for old married folks like us??
For the most part I was pretty successful in finding what I was shopping for today. But wow, I have heard "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas", etc, etc, etc ENOUGH for this year. I do love those songs, but I heard them so many times today as I got more and more tired and agitated, and after a while I felt like I was going to scream if I heard one of those songs one more time. And the weather was so cold again today. I actually intended to go to a few more stores, but by 5 PM I felt like I just couldn't handle the traffic or the long walks from the parking lots to the stores anymore.
This evening I've been working more on my Christmas picture projects as I talked with several of our children by phone and email.

If I had known you were in the neighborhood yesterday, I would have told you to come by for a pecan pie. You could have had your pick! The office people only ate half of one pie. Now I have about 4 pecan pies. Believe it or not, mine tasted better. =)
I will be waiting to read what you will or have been doing on Christmas Eve. Have a very blessed Christmas.
Jean, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Enjoy every minute of it!
Blessings to you and yours!
