This morning we headed to Sears Portraits to get pictures taken of Miki and the kids. What a crazy time. Miki has always been a ham, Bjorn is even worse, and Katrina just rolls her eyes and tries to put up with them! We got a black and white sheet of little thumbnails of the 12 poses taken; some are shown below. If you look closely you can see Miki acting like she's choking Bjorn on the one picture.
We left at 12 noon for the Newark, NJ airport and had some more fun on the way there. We need new rear shocks on our Buick, and with their heavy luggage in the trunk and Miki, Katrina, and I in the back seat, and the bumps on Route 22/78 we felt like we were on a Hershey Park ride sometimes!!
Wow, I hated to say goodbye at the airport. This has been such a sweet and fun visit. I sincerely hope that it won't be four more years before I see them again. I miss them already.
We drove back home through the hills of New Jersey and PA wondering what's next. With their visit over it feels like this would be a good time for Dick to finally get started with a new job, especially as good as he's been feeling in spite of chemo.

It's so hard to say good bye and I'm praying for you tonight. I'm so glad Dick has done well with the chemo and I'm praying for that job for him too!

It IS a scary time in the world right now, but what a comfort to know our God is BIG and nothing is beyond his control. Dick WILL find a job and soon. I believe our words are powerful. And a positive attitude is key.

Sorry the time to say goodbye came so quickly but thank goodness for blogs to keep the memories alive!!! Glad you had a wonderful visit. Life is made of these precious moments.
I am headed to see my baby Andrew tonight. His mommy and daddy have to both work a 12 hour shift on Sat. night so my husband and I have to take care of him and let them sleep after the shift at the hospital. BIG HEAVY SIGH, I guess SOMEONE has to do it! HAHAHAHA! We are excited! We plan a trip to the mall, some delicious cereal and a biscuit, and a new toy or book. :-)

Yeah, I don't like goodbyes like that either. I'm glad you had such a good visit though.
The economic news scares me too, but right now, I'm most worried about this election! UGH!
