Late this afternoon Dick and Destiny went for a bike ride on a trail that used to be a railroad track. They did a five-mile ride, which is pretty good for an 8-year-old girl and a grandpa that's on chemo, wouldn't you say?? This grandma got a good, old-fashioned nap on the sofa - no clock set. I'd wake up every so often and look at my watch and go right back to sleep. I didn't even have any phone calls, a truly rare thing, indeed.
I know some of you also read Lisa's blog, but just in case you don't, I just have to post this picture of Sophie practicing for her soccer team. This picture is SO her. She does everything with all her might. I surely do miss her.

Beautiful pictures! And yes - 5 miles is pretty good!
Go Destiny and Dick...5 miles is great! I haven't taken a ride on my bike in over 2 weeks! Yikes...between our trips and our colds, it just hasn't happened. Looks like gorgeous weather there.
Hugs!
Kat
Would you believe that Pete, Natalia (and yes, this pregnant momma) walked that same trail this weekend? (Saturday before lunch)
We didn't quite do the whole trail, but oh my was it glorious weather!
I took a walk as well on Sunday on the Ehrata trail. It always feels so good to take a walk. It is good for the heart.
FIVE MILES? That is pretty good! It is gorgeous weather to get out there to bike or hike.
Nancy and I have been walking everyday. We hate to see the cold weather come.
