This evening Sam came home to do his laundry. It was fun to catch up with him. He did make a BIG mess, though. When he went into the laundry to put his first load into the dryer, he discovered that he had not put the lid on the liquid detergent and it had vibrated off and spilled all across the floor. We cleaned it up with a whole bunch of beach towels. Can you imagine the suds when I put them in the washer??
I'm ready to hit the sack. I have to go to school early to prepare everything for a mass chorus practice first thing. And one of these days I need to stay after school and pull costumes for all forty-some intermediates. I hate that job. My other biggest problem is figuring out what to do with Goliath after David kills him. I don't really want him lying there on the stage for the last two songs. He ends up right behind where I stand to direct. Can't you just imagine me stepping back right on him and falling all over the place?
I decided to read the the actual story of David and Goliath in the Bible to see what they did with Goliath afterward. The Bible says that after David killed him with his slingshot, he walked over and took Goliath's spear and cut off his head. THEN he carried Goliath's head and took it to King Saul. Needless to say, we won't be acting out that part!!

Well I don't know why you don'y want to cut off his head! That would make for a riveting scene!
Why don't you have his brothers drag him and his head off stage...or to a better place. Got some burly guys? cause I think that could have been what they did after David left with the head, don't you? Probably buried him quickly to cover up the embarresment of losing to a little shepherd boy.
Which mess was bigger? The liquid detergent all over the floor or the bubbles coming out of your machine?
One time at a laundry mat, I put in too much soap and I had a bubble machine! How embarrassing!
What a cute post! My son just came home from college and his car is STILL packed to the brim. We decided to tackle it today! Of course, he needs his mother's help! :)
