He Knows My Name

Here are the lyrics to a song I will be leading this morning. Even though it was written in 1996, it somehow passed me by unnoticed until someone introduced it to me two weeks ago. And now I can't get it out of my head. But that's okay. This is the kind of stuff I like to have in my head anyway.

He Knows My Name
by Tommy Walker

I have a Maker,
He formed my heart.
Before even time began,
My life was in his hands.

He knows my name,
He knows my every thought,
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call.

I have a Father,
He calls me His own.
He'll never leave me,
No matter where I go.

He knows my name,
He knows my every thought,
He sees each tear that falls,
And hears me when I call.

Those words are wonderful to read. I don't think I have heard this song. I will look it up on iTunes and listen to it. Thanks for posting the words. I love that!

Have a wonderful day in the Lord!

What a great song! I've never heard it before and will check it out on iTunes as well. I read a couple of your other posts and I loved the card you gave your husband for Valentine's Day. I also have an elliptical machine and it's my favorite since I live in Michigan where our weather can get pretty nasty. Right now we have snow on the ground and it is raining!
Have a great Sunday!
Love,
Angie xoxo

We've done that song at my church on and off for a while and it's one of my favorites. It's a great reminder of God's faithfulness and always strikes a chord in my heart!

Jean...you won't believe that we did this song at our church this morning too! I had read your blog first thing this morning, so when I got there and realized we were doing it too, I thought that was cool knowing you were at your church singing the same song...God is good! :-)

Dianne, that is SO COOL!!! God really moved when we sang it this morning. There really is something about those words and the slow ballad -type melody that reaches the deepest part of one's heart.
