Latest update: Jeremy just called and said the performance tonight went GREAT! He remembered all his lines and hit all his notes. His friends who were there said he was the best. He also said that he NEVER recovered so quickly! So thanks to all of you who prayed! There are two products he wants us to know about that he believes really worked - zinc spray, and especially oil of oregano from the health food store, something very potent that he put under his tongue.
I was reminded of a time many years ago when our band, The Freedom Singers, were planning a weekend tour. That week I came down with a dreadful sore throat and laryngitis. I remember how I lay on the couch the day before we left just crying to God for a miracle. Our pastor's wife at that time was very in tune with natural treatments and cures. She told me to put a clove of garlic in my mouth over night! I could not imagine, but I was SO desperate that I did it. That truly was the time I recovered overnight! I had a sore spot in my mouth where the garlic clove had been laying, but I could sing that weekend!
Jeremy has five or six more shows this weekend and next. I told Lisa I REALLY want her to take a video of his songs and put them on her blog for me. This is another thing that I would definitely be there for if it were not right before my Christmas programs. Have any of you ever seen Scrooge, the Musical? I need to rent the video so I can see the guy he's playing - Tom Jenkins.

mom -
I am a little concerned. I didn't know you moved to Lancaster County, US, Afghanistan. Sometimes when you edit your profile it resets some things, like country. Mine resets profession from non-specified to accounting every time. What looks so funny is that when you scroll down to where it says that, the manger scene picture shows up and everyone has a headscarf on. Please come home. Ha ha.

Oh my word! That is too funny! Maybe I'll just leave it that way today to go with the picture!!
By the way, everybody, PRAY for Dick. He is sick and missing work the second day in a row. In addition to a fever and aching all over, he now has a stomach virus to go with it. Boy, some dads will do anything for their sons, right??!!
I thought the Taliban outlawed blogs.
So happy for Jeremy, so sad for Dick!
Yea!!! I'm so glad Jeremy is feeling better and has been able to "go on with the show." I'd love to see the video.

RYC: Thanks! I will mark that date. I also sent it to Jere and Kristen.
If you are in Afghanistan, please come home. Dick needs you!
So glad our prayers worked!
Hugs!
