This has been such a cold, windy day. But I should have had my camera with me. On the way to school this morning, the sun came up like a huge, bright orange ball. It led me into a science discussion with Destiny about the sun being a big ball of fire and where it "goes" at night. Then later, around 5 p.m., as we were driving home the sunset was incredible. Once again, the sun was a brilliant orange and the reflection on the clouds was almost breath taking.
This evening Hernley Mennonite Church youth group did babysitting as a fund raiser. So I took Destiny there and, once again, I came home and cleaned - sort of. I also played piano uninterrupted for quite a while.
Dick went to the Manheim Central football game at Hershey this evening (they lost for the first time all year), and afterward he went to the hunting cabin in Juniata County. He and Anthony will try some more deer hunting tomorrow morning. Sitting at a football game in weather like this, and sitting in the woods in the cold early morning hours sounds like absolute torture to me. Obviously Dick doesn't agree! I secretly said "Thank you, Lord" when I heard on the radio that Manheim Central lost this evening. I know I'm being very self-centered, but I knew that meant that Dick won't have a game to go to next weekend. Forgive me, Manheim Central football team! I went to every one of their games, even in pouring rain and heavy snow, back when Ray and Frank were part of the team. I was constantly asking Dick, "What just happened?" I was thankful when I no longer felt an obligation to go! Dick probably was too!!
