It's early Sunday morning and I can't sleep! I decided to get up and start this blog post instead of lying in bed stewing over things I can't do anything about!
First off, I want to follow up on Anthony and Dick's attempt at getting that big, dead tree limb down. In my last post I shared a video of their fail. However, on Saturday they tried again - and succeeded. When Dick showed me the video afterward, I cracked up!! Lori was taking the video, and you gotta hear what she said at the end!
Can you believe that in the process of getting that big rope up over that limb, my almost 76-year-old husband was up on this ladder??
It was a beautiful day, as you can see. Lori pulled out their blow-up canoe and Hunter had some fun on the pond!
Anthony and Lori came for Easter dinner. Hunter was delighted to discover that he is now taller than me!
Hard boiling eggs and painting them was next, also filling plastic eggs with candy and money.
Anthony and Dick hid the eggs outside, then the hunt was on.
I loved seeing pictures of some of our grandchildren that we couldn’t be with for Easter. So dear to my heart!
On Tuesday we went to the courthouse to apply for new passports. Don’t we have a beautiful courthouse in Bellefonte? The whole town is built on steep hills. We walked down the street from our car when we arrived, but Dick walked up that hill afterward and picked me up at the bottom.
My flowers are slowly blooming. We had two extremely cold nights this past week, and Dick put tarps over most of them.
How about that landing of Artemis II?? Breathtaking! I was especially intrigued because they were coming down right where I had first seen the Pacific Ocean from the Cabrillo National Monument at Point Loma.
And this!! I feel like she’s looking right at me!
And now it’s Sunday afternoon, after church we drove to Manheim to visit Grandma Arlene and then Bjorn and Jess and the boys. We just arrived at Pleasant View Retirement Community. I’m going to post this without much editing!

I enjoyed catching up with you here today, Jean! Ketsi is adorable! There is no better sound than a baby's laugh! Gosh you kiddos are all growing up so fast! Sammy is SO TALL, and Hunter is right behind him (and Austin)! Thanks for catching us up!! xo
Glad that Jamaican city girl gave good advice! :)
I love the tombs for the kids - those are special keepsakes.
The grands are all adorable and some are getting so very tall!
Hi Jean! It's always good to catch up with you and see what you and your fun and active family are up to! You and Dick really have a lot of energy to do everything that you do! Your grands are all adorable and it wonderful that you get to see them so often. I love the Easter lesson your church had to teach the real meaning of Easter. It looks like you are having a busy and good spring. Have a great week! See you again soon!
