Last weekend of October

 Time to catch up here!!

One thing I was eager to see when I got home from my trip to Florida was if my flowers were still alive.  Yes!!  Some of them were!  And they still are almost two weeks later!!

These were taken the day after I got home.

I also didn't want to miss taking pictures of the autumn leaves.  So one day I opened my car window and held my phone on my shoulder and snapped away as I drove.  Here are some of those!

Right after I returned from Florida, Lori went to Minneapolis on a work trip.  So we had Hunter here several times that weekend.  Of course we played LIFE.  No pictures of that.  But here's one of us doing the USA floor puzzle.

That Saturday afternoon (October 26) we went to our friend Kris's house for a memorial service for her husband Mel.  They were our dear, dear friends when we went to Fillmore UMC, and they were in our choir.  Mel had the most beautiful tenor voice.  The service was beautiful as so many friends, family, and former co-workers shared memories of Mel.  He was a truly wonderful man.

Here are some favorite Fall scenes I love each year.

Outside....

...inside.

I need to get ready for a hair appointment, so I'll stop here and post another one later today.

Hi Jean. Looks like you are having a good fall. I had to chuckle at the picture of you down on the floor doing a puzzle with your grandson. If I got down on the floor to do that, I think I would have had a very hard time getting back up. You have a lovely, comfortable home. It is always nice to see what you are up to! See you again soon!

It's great that you still had flowers blooming when you got home. They are always so pretty. It seems your dear friend, Mel, had a nice celebration of his life. Looking forward to your next post!
