Other fun things we've been doing

Even as I've been writing all the posts about the family reunion, we've been doing other fun things as well.  Last week we went to TWO Spikes baseball games!!  I don't even like baseball that much, but I do love the atmosphere, and the weather was perfect both evenings.  On Thursday evening Lori got us tickets.  Kids get free food and playtime in the bouncy houses on Thursday evenings.  Austin's little twin girlfriends were there too.

Then on Friday a customer gave Dick four front row tickets complete with VIP parking!  So we went again.  Pastor Renee joined us and we had a good, relaxing time with her - a rare thing indeed.

On Sunday right after church Dick and I drove to Reading to spend some time with Destiny.  We took her to see the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie that just came out.  It was HILARIOUS.  As usual, I was the one laughing the loudest.  How in the world Dick just sits there without laughing out loud is just beyond me.  He says I laugh enough for both of us.  Here's Destiny and me trying one of our self portraits in the restroom!

Afterward we went to Giant China Buffet.  Oh my word.  I have never been to such a huge Chinese buffet before.  EVERYTHING you can think of and then some.  We had such a fun time together.  Then we took her home and said our goodbyes.  I drove part way home so Dick could get some sleep.  We didn't get back till 11 pm.

Monday evening Anthony, Lori, and Austin came here for a cookout.  The evening weather has been just PERFECT lately.

After we ate we went to the new airport-themed playground nearby.  It is AWESOME!!!!!

That's Lori in the tower.

Anthony thinks he's gymnast material, hanging upside down like that!

From here we could see the Tussey Mountain ski slopes many miles away!

Today I had a hair appointment and was amazed at the huge coleus in front of their building.

This evening the Fillmore choir had a surprise birthday party for Judy, our director.  She never fails to have a cake for our birthdays throughout the year.  We don't have choir over summer, but we didn't want to miss the chance to honor her.

WOw - you've been having lots of fun. Guess I'm going to have to see that movie. I'd be laughing while Bob just watched too.
That coleus is gorgeous and the park looks like so much fun.

I will have to inform Nicole about that new movie. She is always looking for good movies to go to with her boy friend.

Oh how I drooled over that coleus! I absolutely love them!
