Shooting Week

This was shooting week here at our house.  No sitting around working in my jammies till noon this week!  On Monday morning Anthony brought his "stuff" and set up in my little computer/music room.

Lights...

Camera....  Anthony sits on that computer chair.  I wanted to take a picture of him sitting there, since that's what I look at while I'm teaching, but he declined.  I even offered him a chance to sing notes off the bass clef in one of my lessons, but he declined that as well.  He's camera-shy, you know, haha!

This is the music side of my little room.

The last thing I do before starting a lesson is hook up the cord to my microphone.

Anthony watches what he's shooting in that little frame.

We got the twelve lessons for the next DVD, The Musical Staff, finished.  Now the intense editing begins.  Patching together all the "takes" in just the right order, cutting and pasting the places where I inadvertently said the wrong word.  Like "second" where I should have said "fourth", etc.  He just finds a place where I said the correct word, copies it from there and pastes it where I made the mistake.  He's a genius.

Here's a somewhat blurry picture I copied from the video from lesson five.  Trust me, there's nothing blurry about the video itself.  Anthony has this recording thing, and the equipment needed, down to a science.  I'm very, very blessed to have him for a son.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the word out to home schoolers about what I have available for them.  The first week after my website went up, several FB friends shared the link, and I got a nice amount of orders.  But now that those FB posts are yesterday's news, no longer in front of people's faces, I am no longer getting orders.  So I'll be tremendously grateful to anyone who helps me to spread the word.   My website address is simply www.jeanstauffer.com.    I also got brochures made this week, which I will be giving to people who are home school evaluators, members of home school co-ops, etc.  I'll be in Lancaster County on Monday and will have brochures and DVD's with me, so if you're a reader from that area whom I have not yet contacted, and you could help me spread the word, I'd love to hear from you.  My email address is musicaljean@gmail.com

And now, there are a few things around this house that are begging for some attention.

well jean your son got his genes from you, so you are a genius and it just traveled down the line. And also from Dick. It looks interesting, I will tell my Sister in Law about it because she used to teach her children , so maybe she knows others who are teaching their children at home now,she probably knows some at their church.
