Since it didn't work out for Anthony, Lori, and Austin to come here for a cook-out over the weekend, we did it on Monday instead. It was a BEAUTIFUL evening for being outdoors. Gotta make use of them while we have them. I hate to think of cold weather and coats and..... So I won't.
I got my Austin fix!
Today I'm driving to Reading to celebrate Destiny's birthday (which is actually tomorrow.) The original intent was to take those cupcakes that we made Labor Day weekend, and which have been taking up lots of space in the freezer ever since, to share with her classmates. However, yesterday, in making arrangements with her teacher via email, I discovered that there is a policy in her school district that no home-made food may be brought in for the students. I cried. But I understood. So I bought some beautiful (but probably much less tasty) cupcakes at the grocery store for her classmates. And I'll take some of the homemade ones along for her to share with her family and relatives.
I'll be taking Destiny to the Castle Roller Rink in Lancaster this evening. Frank will be coming too, as well as J'von. We'll have lots of fun, I'm sure. I'll sleep at my stepmother's tonight, and come back home tomorrow morning.

Have a wonderful time celebrating. How sad to not serve her class with the cupcakes she made....but I do understand. I bet her family will love them....lucky them =)
I just found out that Natalia's school doesn't allow ANY food items due to various food allergies, the time it takes out of instruction time, etc. (They suggested giving a book to the classroom or individual things like pencils or notepads.)
I'm sure those cupcakes you made were yummy!
