Here are a couple of pictures I'm willing to show. First the guest bathroom with the things I got at Kohls to incorparate the gray floor and counter top.
Our dining room is looking like home now. Come on over and I'll be glad to serve you a meal. My table (which was my mom's) has six boards to extend it, so I can feed a crowd. The chairs and bench were from my childhood too, although they are not the chairs that matched the table. Those chairs gradually bit the dust over many years of use. Maybe sometime I'll be able to get chairs to better match the table.
It's time now for me to go pick up Austin. Later today I am leaving with Anthony and Lori to go to Philadelphia. Lori has a conference there the next two days. Anthony and I will go sight-seeing with Austin. Unfortunately, Dick has to work, so he'll be batching it. But he'll be alright for two days!

Have fun in Philly!
What a bright, airy bathroom. I love lots of light! And, that dining room looks ready for a big family gathering. Loving the pictures...show us more!
it looks nice
So excited for you and Dick! There's just nothing like having a place of your own again.
Hugs,
Kat
You're doing good - it looks great!
I love your bathroom and your new shower curtain that goes so well with the floor. Your dining room is huge! Everything looks so nice and ready for company. It won't be long before your family will be gathering around your table.
love your table....great look
It feels so good to have familiar things in a new living space. You are maximizing things to a superb advantage, and it looks so restful to my eyes. Our bedroom has gray carpet in it, and I've used mauve and lighter pink for accents. Some people may think that it has too many feminine touches to it, but it has never bothered my husband, and we really enjoy the master bath and bedroom that is ours. It is the one room in our house that stays orderly. All the time. I was talking to our youngest son the other week, and we were talking about houses that were messy, especially master bedrooms.
I asked him if he can remember a single time when our bedroom was a mess (!) and he said, "No, Mom. Your bedroom was a place--" he stopped and struggled for a word.
"A place of retreat?" I asked, hopefully. "A haven, a safe place?
"No," he said thoughtfully, "no, it's more like a place that was to be respected, somehow."
I really liked that! It hit a resonate chord with me, somehow, and I can't think of a higher compliment to his daddy and me. I guess I feel some of the same things looking at pictures of your home. It has a quality about it that deserves respect, even while it is welcoming and comforting and a safe place to be. I pray that you and Dick have many happy, happy times in your new house, and that the memories you make there will be the best yet for your family. Love you!
