Meeting Tracey

Once again Sophie went to dance camp this morning.  By noon when I needed to go pick her up, it had started raining along with thunder and lightning.  That pretty much lasted off and on the rest of the day.  So no pool time today.  This afternoon she and I just hung out together.  At one point I put some lively gospel music on and she got some moves on.

She just cracks me up.  We have so much fun together.  Every time we iChat with George and Lisa she wants to see her frog.  She always wants to make sure they are holding the frog when they hang up, because that last picture freezes on the screen.  We always take a picture of it!  Here's the one from this afternoon!

Late this afternoon George's mom came to stay with Sophie, and I went out.  I had a very important date!

I learned to know Tracey several years ago through blogging when she lived in Alabama.  She was part of the "B" Club that several of us jokingly created, but I never had the opportunity to meet her until this evening.  No, she did not come all the way from Alabama.  She now lives in Florida, less than an hour from Lisa's place, so we've been looking forward to getting together for quite a while.  

WELL,  we laughed and talked and cried and talked and laughed and talked and cried and talked some more - for three-and-one-half hours!  As she said when we parted - kindred spirits.  

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Tracey for taking time out of your busy life, for driving much further than I did this evening, just for me.  You are just as delightful as I always knew you would be.
