Finally saw The Blind Side

There is a theater right near us that shows movies for just $1.00 per person.  This evening Dick and I went there to see The Blind Side.  I know this movie has been out for quite a while (otherwise it would not be showing at this particular theater).  I know that everyone who has seen it has said how much they liked it.  I knew that Sandra Bullock played the lead role.  But that is all I knew.  I did not know what the story line was until we were watching it.  And I did not know it was a true story until the very end.

I can hardly find words to say how deeply I identified with Sandra Bullock's role in this movie.  I was not rich or beautiful  like she was, but I had a very deep "mother bear" love for the boys in our family who did not look like us or most of the people in our high school, just as she had for Michael.  I totally understood her.  Dick and I laughed a lot, I cried sometimes (I bet he had some tears too).  I absolutely recommend it to you if you have not seen it yet.

It's a wonderful movie, and knowing it's true makes it better!

I am proud to know people like you and Dick, who saw kids who needed love...and you guys stepped up and gave your love and acceptance and family. Nothing pleases God as much as seeing us putting His love into action. Great will be your reward!
