New Year's Eve

We had a fun New Year's Eve.  We woke up to a beautiful coat of new snow.  In the afternoon Lori's co-worker came with her daughter to go sledding.  Here are just a few of the pictures.  Lori and Anthony posted a lot more on their Facebook pages.

This evening we went to the First Night celebration in downtown State College.  As usual, the main attraction is the ice sculptures, although there didn't seem to be as many big ones as the two previous years.  Kettle corn and hot chocolate never tasted so good as it did tonight. Here are some of Anthony's pictures.

Afterward we came home.  Lori, Destiny, and I chilled in front of the TV till the ball dropped in NYC, then talked on the phone to her daddy and mommy and some of our other children.  Anthony and Dick went to the watch night service at church and are helping to make pancakes after midnight.

And now I'm going to bed.

Happy New Year!

Lori and Anthony have a great hill for sledding!
The ice sculptures look like so much fun to see and that picture of Austin, looking so alert and taking it all in is just precious!
