I was very aware today that the staff at MCDS was having an in-service day. It felt so strange to be missing it. I'm just a nosey enough person that I hate to miss out on everything that's going on and all the good laughs that I know they had. But I have peace. I know God has led my path. And it's not hard at all to love my new "job".

We had a long and tiring, but very good, first day of orientation. You remember quite well, I'm sure, all the details and decisions that need to be discussed on those first days back together. The new staff are all very nice and will fit in quite well, but we definitely missed you and your "sunshiney laughter!" Enjoy the new things God is doing in your life, but come back and visit us real soon!
It is amazing the great things one can find at garage sales. Austin seems to be loving it. It will be interesting to see which toy he gravitates to as he gets older. Will it be cars and transmissions or guitar and jazz or will it be books and a doctorate? One never knows. He certainly is a sweetie!
Austin looks adorable sitting there in his new "toy". Bree used to love her swing. I always saved it for the times when she would get fussy...usually right when I needed to get dinner started. She was happy and it made life easier for me.
