Here's my first attempt at posting a short video (very short!) Last evening Sam and Ashley were saying what a crazy, little dancer 2-year-old Gianna is. So we put on the soundtrack of Shrek. The other three kids instantly went into action, and little Gianna took a little longer to get moving. This short video doesn't do her justice. She was so funny.
She's also quite a talker. Early in the evening she pushed the dolly stroller to the kitchen where I was working. Here's the beginning of our conversation:
Gianna: Hi! What's your name?
Me: My name is Jean.
Gianna: Do you go to work?
Me: Yes, I do. I'm a teacher. I go to work at school and I teach the kids.
Gianna: I'm a kid.
She just cracked me up all evening long.
This morning my middle school worship team had our first of six Sunday morning programs. We were a little nervous, being our first time in front of an audience, and there were so many things to remember, and every church has a different layout which we must adapt to. But we tried to remember Who our audience really is, and I think we did a pretty good job of directing the focus of the service on Him. Here are two pictures Dick took during our last song, Jesus, Lover of My Soul. The kids chose to kneel during the last part of it.
I guess the crazy weather that's been marching across the country reached us this afternoon. We had about 15 minutes of wild wind and hail. Thankfully it waited until after my wonderful 2-hour nap!

Oh dear Jeanie girl! I was catching up on your posts, and I read the one where you said that none of you updates were showing except the one that said "Oh my pounding head" -- except that I read it "Oh my pounding HEART" So I scrolled on down to read that (forgetting that I actually had read it before) and the first thing I saw under that post was the picture of Dick when he was a groomsman in someone's wedding. I thought, "Aw, that is so sweet! How very much like Jean to say something romantic like that!" I went back up to the beginning and saw that you were writing about your headache! So I said, "Wait a minute -- What was the heading here?" Lo and behold, it wasn't romantic at all -- it was a pounding HEAD!!! Not a pounding heart. Oh, well. I know that you are a hopeless romantic anyhow, so I will give you credit for the times that heart was pounding over that young groomsman.
Hope your day is good! And I hope that you can keep your head and heart distinction better than I did. Love you!
Mary Ann, you had me laughing out loud when I read this. Oh, my pounding heart - that is so funny!
Hey Jean..just checking in. Cute video. Kids are so awesome and fun..I usually just love being around them! Hope all is well...sounds like you've been busy as usual! I read a little further down and read your post about quiche...I had to giggle because I was thinking today at work for some reason that I wanted to make a quiche. I've never made one before, but bought some stuff on the way home tonight so I could make one this week! :-) I just need to find a good recipe...funny though that I just thought about that today then read about one on your blog! :-)
