Missing Austin

Wow, I really got spoiled being able to cuddle and kiss Austin the past three days since he was born. Today I have to be satisfied with this picture that Anthony posted of Austin sleeping on his daddy's chest. Is it just me, or does that little cheek look absolutely kissable?
What a day. I don't care of what political persuasion one is, it has to be admitted that this was an amazing day in Washington DC. My heart rejoices with all those who have suffered the oppression of racial prejudice and now feel a new sense of validation tonight. Perhaps my precious, sleeping grandson, pictured above, may benefit one day from today's notorious events.

ok, lady, are we going to be having cute grandbaby wars in photos!?!?!?!?! cause I gotta say... YES YES YES those cheeks are totally kissable!!!!!!!!!! HOW did you drive away without sneaking him with you??!!?!

What a cutie. My heart rejoices with you!!!!!!

As for today -- I grew up in Chester, Pa. I remember the race riots. I remember my high school being on lock down due to some riots over Martin Luther King, Jr. My black sisters ( I can say that, they were my dear friends!) took me to their home. They would NOT let me walk home during the riots. I found a safe haven in the homes of the very people that were being mistreated.

Today, I cried. I am so proud of my country. I have hope that if we can see past a man's color, we can see our way through the crisis we are in as a country.

Blessings to you, my friend!

That is truly one kissable cheek! And - I agree with your post. Although I am concerned with some of his beliefs, I'm happy for the hope he offers, especially to African Americans.

He is so adorable. Yes If I were you I would be kissing that cheek all the time by picture. I think yesterday was very moving. Hope you see my comments on my blog.

Austin surely is a beautiful, most precious baby. I'd love to hold him and give him a kiss. And yesterday's inaguration and events were so wonderful. Richard let me have the TV in my office so I could watch throughout the day. I could not miss this huge historic event for USA and the world.
