Well, I got my hubby back this evening and I'm glad. My hat is off to you women who live alone, and I mean that sincerely. I had to keep the TV on each night when I went to sleep to make sure I couldn't hear any funny noises. Both nights I woke up at some point and turned it off and was able to go right back to sleep, thank goodness.
On Monday morning, as Dick drove to State College, the trees were glistening with ice. Here are some pictures he snapped. They'll look better if you click on them.
One of his projects for Anthony was reinforcing the stairway to the basement. I think Lori took this picture standing at the top of the stairs (I see her feet!) The top stair was removed, apparently, and you could see Dick underneath.
This evening we went to a 50th birthday party for our friend Kati from church. Kati's a Texan, but she's been living here in Lancaster County, PA for a number of years, and I'm so glad. She's tons of fun and has an awesome voice. Here she is with her youngest son Richard.

I'm glad he's home. I'm not good at being by myself either. His pictures are beautiful.
The cold is here now. It's 3 degrees now and getting colder the later it gets!

I do remember that freeze! I was at West Chester U and my not-quite-yet-father-in-law drove down to pick me up and bring me home for our upcoming youth group retreat!!
I know you're glad he's home and I bet he is too. Gosh, what a wonderful photo he took. So pretty, but oh so cold looking. Brrr...I'm cold here...I can't even imagne there.

I do not like being home alone at night either. Fortunately, I have never had to be alone. But, in February, Alan is going to Hawaii and if Chad has to work at night, I will be alone. I hope that never happens. I think I would just stay up all night and clean house. =)
I love the photos Dick took. He really is being a big help to people who probably has needed things done for a long time.
Jean, I'm cold just looking at those pictures! It's been in the 20's here (at night) and going down to the teens tonight! Brrrr! We're not used to weather like this!
Pray for Zack. He is driving with a friend up to D.C. on Saturday because he got tickets to the inauguration and to an inaugural ball. I'm worried about him encountering bad weather. I'll update my blog as I hear from him.
It's almost the weekend! Yea! Stay warm!
My solution to the quietness at night is to put the TV on sleep timer. I fall asleep to some noise and the TV goes off by itself a little later!
Anonymous, whoever you may be, I don't know how to do that!! Remotes and me have a long history of unfriendliness. Just ask my kids.
