Too tired to do the Happy Dance

Another Christmas program is history. I'd do the happy dance, but I'm just too tired.

God smiled on me today and caused the temperatures in our area to stay above freezing all day long. We got lots of rain, but no ice.

Things went well during both programs today, for the most part. There were some glitches, but I guess that's to be expected when you're dealing with that many different parts of a program and so many different people. The kids did great.

I did something this evening that I never did before. I wore the same outfit I did last year. I decided that since I paid so much for it last year, and since I hardly ever had opportunity to wear it again, and since we are pretty much on a spending freeze around here, this would be the year to get away with it. I wonder if anyone noticed.

Dick and I were both too busy at both programs to take any pictures, and none of our children were there this time to take any for us, so once again I will not be able to post any pictures until someone emails some to me.

Now I'm in my comfy nightgown enjoying the wonderful cheese potato soup that my coworker Danelle makes for us each program day and the sweet potato/craisin bread that one of the moms sent home with me this evening. And if I sit here much longer I'll be sleeping on the job.

Goodnight.

Hey Jean ...

Funny thing about your pantsuit tonight ... I looked at it and thought to myself, "Wow, Jean looks really fabulous in that!" I never even realized it was a repeat. You know, movie stars get something new to wear for every occasion. We "regular people" just continue to rotate and mix and match and pray no one notices. (For instance, I've been rotating 2 pairs of pants every other day for the past two months. Did you notice? Please say "no" even if you did!!!)

Thanks for another great program!
Renee

That's great, Renee!! Of course I never noticed. I do the same thing. I have one pair of tan and one pair of black pants that I like, and everything I have goes with one or the other. Oh dear, now when we see each other in the hall we'll be thinking, "Hmmm, which pair does she have on today??" And so will every staff member that reads this. What are we doing???

Your pant suit was beautiful, the lights shining on your back really kept your top sparkling. I did not know you wore it last year, I knew I saw it before, and my thoughts were, good for you, you didn't take the time to look for another special outfit. The program was awesome. Very, very well done, and the message very touching. It is still "rolling around in my head".
