We did not have any map or Map quest directions for the trip home, but relied totally on the GPS to tell us what to do. At some point it decided to take us on the scenic route through Cecil County, MD and southern Chester County, PA. Has anyone ever heard of Gumtree Road? We were on it for five or six miles! Below is a picture of the Conowingo Dam near the MD/PA border.
FINALLY we arrived at this house in Downingtown, PA where Sam has a third floor apartment. He gave us a quick tour, we said our goodbyes, and were on our way.
It was a little less than an hour's drive home from there. Destiny contented herself in the back seat, playing Solitaire on Dick's PDA.
AHHH. It was a fun weekend, but it was GOOD to be home.

I've had fun, going on your vacation with you. I can see that as usual, your family had a good time together!
I realized yesterday that after I commented about the crepe myrtle, I forgot to say anything about your trip! I'm glad you had a good time, and the pictures were great. There is nothing like the beaches and water in the Gulf. But it sounds like your men are like mine, they love rough surf. It makes me nervous! I hope your week goes well before school starts again!
Had to chuckle at your picture of the Conowingo Dam Bridge...that is such a familiar sight to us, having traveled it countless times over the 7 years we lived in Harford County. Don't know where Gumdrop Road is though. You probably drove right by our old spots.
So glad you had a good weekend! (We love Carrabbas!)
