Remember this happy occasion last summer? A few years after the sudden death of my sister Janet, her husband Elvin got married to long-time family friend Pauline. Today Elvin will be having triple by-pass heart surgery.
When we visited him at the hospital last evening, I asked him what ever in the world could possibly be blocking his arteries, given the fact he hardly has any meat or fat in his diet. He said that calcium and plaque can also clog arteries. I gotta check that out. Heart trouble is also a part of my heredity. Janet's death was caused by an arterial dissection, somewhat like an aneurysm. That's also what actor John Ritter died from, which his widow has put in the news lately, with the push for research which she has begun.
We wish Elvin a successful, UNCOMPLICATED surgery.
On a happy note, my brother-in-law Scott, who had the neck/spine surgery, is returning to the classroom today! He has been doing very well. He said the pain he has right now is from the physical therapy. That's a good pain. Have a great day back at work, Scott! Those kids will be so happy to have their zany teacher back!

Hi Jean! Good Monday morning to you!
Ray looks like a real 'husband' in that robe and coffee!
I am glad you have daffodils blooming. The whole back of our lot we are bilding on will be left in a natural wooded state, except what I choose to plant. And I think I am going to sprinkle daffodols all over!
Glad things went well with the worship team. I know when kids learn to sing and prais without intimidation, it carries on with them to adulthood. Would love to have heard them.
Will be praying for Elvin today. Hard to believe if he takes such good care of himself why this still happened. Oh the intricacies of the human body.
I see that you have read my post on Adam this morning. It really brings back scary times for me to rehash it. But for so long, I have wanted to get it all documented...so I feel good about it.
Have a wonderful week!
I feel so badly about Elvin. Hope all goes well for him today.
I was glad to read that Scott is back in the classroom. What a time he had!
I'm just now getting around to reading this, but I hope all went well with Elvin's surgery. Be sure to let us know...and I was thrilled to read that Scott is doing so well! WOW..how amazing is that?
