Well, here I sit, still in Pittsburgh. We were planning to leave right after a workshop that ended at 5:30. However, we found out that the bus we came on had brake trouble, which we did not know about. Apparently, when we were dropped off yesterday, the brakes gave out completely!! Talk about the Lord's protection! On that bus were 12 teachers from our school and 15 - 20 from the other local Christian school. Anyway, we are waiting for another bus which is being brought out here for us. It is supposed to arrive by 9:30. I surely hope I can sleep on the bus. It's a 4 hour drive.
I gotta tell you about the stupid thing I did yesterday. We stopped for the bathroom at a turnpike plaza. After I came out of the stall and went to the sink to wash my hands, I waved my hands back and forth under the faucet, expecting the water to start running. Nothing. So I waved them some more, and finally looked at the woman at the sink beside me with a puzzled look. She said, "You need to pull that handle up." Can you believe it? It never occurred to me that I might have to turn the water on manually.
And today we had to check out of our rooms by 12 noon. There was a place for us to keep our bags until we would leave on the bus. This afternoon my roommate reminded me that we had left our coats in the closet! The front desk gave us a key, we went up the elevator to 12th floor, and found the cleaning lady in the hall. She had already cleaned our room and had taken our coats down to security in the BASEMENT!! She took us down the employees only elevator to the basement, through a maze of halls, past the laundry, past many, many employees, to the security desk. We had to sign to get our coats back! Then the cleaning lady stayed down there, and we had to find our way back. I kept feeling like someone would stop us and ask what we thought we were doing. I lost half an hour of a workshop till it was all taken care of.
Well, hopefully we'll get home safely yet tonight, and I'll catch up with you all and post more pictures tomorrow.

Hope you get to leave soon. I love that faucet story. We are used to technology aren't we? That sounds like something I would do!
Why can't things just go smmothly and as planned ? Well, of course, then we wouldn't have anything to blog about!! Enjoy your Saturday!
facuet story is funny. I needed a good laugh
I agree that the faucet story is HILARIOUS...made me laugh out loud! Sounds just like something I would do, and realize, just as others were looking on!
