On Monday morning, after getting packed up and saying my final good-byes to Kat and Tonja when they called me, Dick and I picked Ray up at the base, took him for one more breakfast at Ihop, then to the Cordova Mall to pick up his wedding band, and back to the base. Here he is, ever the clown, saying his good-byes - "Peace out." (Oops, don't look at those buildings in the background. I wasn't supposed to take pictures of them, and now I'm posting them on my blog!)

It had started to rain when we took him back. After we left, there was an absolutely TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR - almost too heavy to keep driving. But by the time we got to the airport it had stopped.

Our flights were both on time, but again we had a long layover in Atlanta. I got some lesson plans made, then bought another Nicholas Sparks paperback, A Walk to Remember, and read a good bit of it by the time we got to Philadelphia. (Man, does he make the women die in all his books??) It took too long for our long term parking shuttle to pick us up and when we finally reached our car at 11:30 PM, IT WOULDN'T START!! I had visions of sitting for an hour as we waited for AAA. But, my wonderful mechanic husband discovered that our starter had a loose connection which he knew how to temporarily fix, and when he told me to turn the key, it started! Praise God and thank you, Dick!! We listened to Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir very loudly all the way home to stay awake. We were sooo glad for our good bed, and so sorry when the alarm clock woke us up this morning!

What a sweet, sweet time, Dear Friend, and so many nice things packed into one weekend! I'm glad that you could go, but I'm also glad you are back home again. I started to think that I hadn't seen your "footprints" for a very long time, so I came over her to check it out and found that you were off galavanting around with two handsome men! (Oh, and two beautiful gals, too, part of the time) Only, I didn't know all that until you finally posted pictures tonight! I just knew that you were having a good time from the brief postings you left -- then the pictures filled in the visuals. It bears saying again -- I really am glad that you are home. By the way, How is school going?

what a full weekend. Glad you had a good time with your friends and Son? He is is your son I suppose. I really don"t know how many children you have and how many foster children. You sure do live a full life.

It was so nice to meet Ray. He really does have a fun personality as you have shown in some of your photos.

I love Nicholas Sparks books too.

Hope you're catching up on your rest. (I took a 2 hour nap the afternoon I got home.)

Hugs!
Kat
