A happy day

Today was a happy day. My late sister Janet's husband married one of Janet's dearest friends, Pauline Allison, who lost her husband to brain cancer in 1991. The private wedding was held at his lakeside home, then a reception was held at their church, Grantham Brethren in Christ Church. When we arrived there was a long line of people waiting to greet the couple. Elvin and Pauline were standing under a tent. They looked so beautiful and happy! There were musicians and light refreshments in another tent. Gradually everyone gathered in the gymnasium for the meal.

Thanks for all the pictures! It looks like this was a very sweet day, and they look like a sweet, happy couple. It's nice that they've ended up together after they've known each other and had so much history together. I hope it was an okay day for you as well as I know you were a little apprehensive about it, if that's the right word. I did stop a few times to think about you today and say a little prayer for everyone there. I'm glad you took the time to post all this tonight. You're awesome! :-)

I'll bet there were some tears shed, but I'll bet over all it was a good day! Congratulations to them, and to you for all the pictures. It made me feel like I knew everyone there! Thanks!

Jeanie, thanks for the good blog again, I'm finally getting to my computer this evening - Sunday. I wish my camera bag was as close as my computer, then I'd have it. Sure hope someone finds it. I left a msg. at the church. MEW
