Dick leaves for Louisiana
This morning we left home around 7:15 to go to our church. A group of fifteen people, including Dick, were leaving for a week of hurricane relief work. They won't be back until late next Saturday evening. Their destination is Lake Charles, Louisiana, which is in the southwestern corner of the state, near the Texas border. According to Mapquest it's a 1350 mile trip. Below are pictures I took this morning.

Gosh..what a long trip, but at least they have a comfortable way to travel. Keep us posted on how and what they're doing....

What a wonderful opportunity they have! Several times my neighbor has gone down to Louisiana with their church. She always has great stories to tell. I hope all goes well for them or the drive down. May they have a wonderful time!
