Church camping weekend

This weekend we had our annual camping trip with our church. We had a good time most of the time. However, as Destiny gets older and more familiar with the place it gets harder and harder to keep track of her. She captured a frog on Saturday and another one on Sunday. Those frogs were the objects of much attention, affection, and some strife. When we released them back into their habitat before we left for home, it was the cause of great sorrow for Destiny and even greater relief for me! The pictures below will tell the rest of the story.

Awwwwww! I LOVED the pictures and it looked like a fun time for every one.
I would love to sleep out in the tent when it is raining. That has to be some kind of experience!

Wow! It looks like everyone had so much fun! The air mattress and blankets did look pretty comfy, but I'm still not sure how I'd sleep in the outdoors!

I just love that your church does this. It made me remember back when I was little and my dad would preach at different camps. We always would have so much fun.

Glad all went well and your back home in the comfort of your own bed! By the way, glad Destiny left the FROGS in the woods!

That does look like a lot of fun and I giggled out loud at some of the games...the shaving cream and vanilla pudding games...too funny. Sounds like a great get-away from the normal hustle and bustle and I'm glad you were able to go.

Oh, this brings back memories of church camps when I was a child and a youth. We always had such fun. Then, I spent years as a youth worker and got to think up and direct some of those "games". Sweet memories. Aren't "church families" wonderful? I think those that don't have one are missing one of the great joys of life.
