One more thing down

Today we had eighth grade graduation practice and I also had several of my regular Tuesday classes. I got a little bit of organizing done in my classroom. But there's a LOT more to do.

This evening was the graduation. The kids looked so awesome, all dressed up. Some of the girls looked like they were ready for a wedding! The graduating class sang God Is Able and The Fly Away Medley, each from previous choral festivals. I helped out with the tenor, but they had four part harmony - just eleven kids! I'm so proud of them. Of course, as usual, I played Pomp and Circumstance as they walked in at the beginning and out at the end.

So that's one more thing down. Tomorrow the kids have half a day - their last. But I will let Destiny go home with a classmate and I'll do more end-of-year work in my classroom in the afternoon.

I know you are so glad to know 'the end' is right around the corner, especially as busy as you have been. Keep us posted, and keep posting pictures!

Love the pictures and love the color of the balloons! Purple is one of my all-time favorites!

Gosh, you guys go pretty late in school....when do ya'll start? We start around August 7th or 8th, but the kids get out the 3rd week of May.

I know you are looking forward to some "down" time!

The end is in sight. I remember being so excited that school was almost over.

We started the last week of August. Actually, we are getting out a whole week earlier than the local public school. I remember one year, when we had had a lot of snow days, we went to the middle of June!

I'll bet your summer will be full, and you won't know where the time all went! I don't think you stand still very long, do you?

I'm glad your year is winding down. We still have a few more home school days, but if today is any sign, they will be half days at best. I am so ready to do other things - like cleaning and sewing, etc.
